This is a time when all Americans who are concerned about the future of this unique country must decide whether the government in Washingtion, D.C.; your state capitol; your county seat; or your local town, borough, township, or ward actually represents the best interests of yourself and your fellow citizens. Whether you are a liberal, conservative, far-left or far-right, independent, or someone who has no personal label, each citizen, tax paying or not, rich or poor, senior or junior, white or black, latino or oriental, and all the rest, must go to the polls and express your will behind the curtain in the polling booth. This is what makes you different in this chaotic world; you can express your opinion on individuals or ballot options, so that six months from now or a year from now, you can’t just bitch about what is going on around because  a political party or politician could or could not change something you feel strongly about.  I have my own, strong personal political bent; one steeped in history and in personal responsibility, but of course, I have had all the advantages of race, family, education and support since I was a child, therefore I can’t honestly respond to those who complain about how there life is going because they have not had these advantages of mine;  these folks can be affected about what government does or does not to do for them. In some cases, their needs have to be met; in others, their needs are bogus and need to be justified. That is a post for another day, but this point gets me to the main thrust of this post today.  I have had it all; but there is one thing for sure I can honestly promote; we all have a responsibility first to ourselves, to our mates, to our families, and to our society, to be as respectful of all others around us. That respect corresponds with also being forthright in doing what you can to promote your own survival and your mates, families, friends and society by good deeds and honest work….no one else can do it for you.  We are a country of laws, but more than that, we are a country born in self-reliance and that starts by not expectiong others to do for us what we should be doing for ourselves. My religion, as it is, dictates, that I should help those with whom I come in contact who need help or even those I will never meet, by just offering what I can; at that same time I give, I expect those that I give to, to give all they can in the best way they can to either themselves or to those who they are responsible for. So back to my first premise;  vote your conscience on November 2nd, but on November 3rd, check out what you need to do personally to improve yourself and those who you are responsible for and those with whom you come in contact with on a daily basis. Remember, you secularlists, “Do onto others as you would want done for you”; how about for all of us, “Just do onto others what others need”.  Lastly respect the vote of the people, don’t bitch and moan, just work harder on your own self-responsibility. All around you will find you are in a better and more secure place in which you and family live. Remember, life is a trip, a quick one, so give it all you have, which is much more than you or anyone else believes.

You know, as the maxim goes, the devil is in the details… And that could not be more correct here. Having said that, let me say to you just what did deliver the results.
